Concept
We began with traditional African cuisines before being subsequently influenced by ingredients from the Philippines. Due to the fact that Cape Town restaurants at the time were relatively conventional, our first restaurant, which we established in 2018, was a unique establishment.
People came and expressed their satisfaction with the meal and service, so now we are based in all these locations. Our guiding principle is that good food and service must be provided. And that's a notion that holds at each of our locations.
Profile
My mother and grandmother's example motivated me to learn to cook. I worked as a kitchen assistant for my first position as a cook before becoming an apprentice. I relocated to South Africa to operate a restaurant after seven years, and it was there that I honed my culinary skills. Many people refer to it as "fusion" food, but I like to refer to it as "Afro-style" cooking.
